Gov Pineda’s medical team welcomes new member
Dr. Pagcu to provide neuro services to the poor
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Governor Lilia G. Pineda’s team of medical specialists welcomes a new addition in their ranks, neurosurgeon Jason Aries Pagcu, to further serve the indigent Kapampangans in need of various medical services.
It was learned, Dr. Pagcu is a graduate of Medicine specializing in Neurosurgery from the University of Santo Tomas.
Currently, Dr. Pagcu handled nine successful major surgeries for the provincial government, most of which are children with hydrocephalus while others are patients with tumors or persons involved in vehicular accidents. Four of these surgeries were performed at the Head Injury Unit of the Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital.
In addition, Dr. Pagcu plays a significant role in the screening of patients in need of diagnostic procedures like CT-scan – a commonly requested procedure by indigent patients seeking assistance from the provincial government.
According to the doctor, doing so will decrease the expenses incurred by the Capitol from diagnostic procedure fees paid in behalf of indigent patients.
“The presence of a specialist like Dr. Aries here in the Capitol is very significant. Now, indigent patients can directly raise their concerns to him and get immediate response, or treatment if needed. Also, he will be there to identify patients who really need to undergo CT-scan and other relevant diagnostic procedures,” Governor Pineda explained.
The new member of the governor’s special medical team is available for consultations during Mondays from 8:00AM to 12:00NN at the Governor’s Office in Capitol, giving priority to victims of traumatic injuries, stroke, brain hematoma, hydrocephalus, tumors, and other neurological ailments.
Also, Dr. Pagcu shares the governor’s passion in providing quality and accessible medical services and diagnostic procedures to the poor.
“No matter what happens after the elections, I will remain by the Governor’s side to provide health care, particularly neurological concerns, to those who need it,” Dr. Pagcu shared.
